  • Museum of Contemporary Art

    Situated on the top of the hill in the Skopje central area and near the medieval fortress "Kale", the Museum of Contemporary Art is surrounded by the panoramic view of the city and its larger area. The Museum building, constructed in 1970, is an excellent example of the architecture of the late modernism and symbol of the renewal of Skopje after the 1963 earthquake. It houses art collections from famous Macedonian, ex-Yugoslav and foreign authors.
  • Holocaust Memorial Center for the Jews of Macedonia

    Large three-level white modern museum constructed in the shape of the Star of David, located in the center of Skopje. Contains three floors of exhibits, multi-media presentations and historical information on Jewish life in Macedonia over the ages.
  • Museum of Bitola

    The Museum of Bitola is located in the building called “Old army Barack”, which is protected monument. In architectural terms, the building represents a synthesis of western and oriental architecture. In its dimensions and gauge as monumental building, it is a reflection of the builder accomplishments at that time in these areas. Also, in chronological terms, it is the only historical building of this type in Republic of Macedonia. Within the museum building are located the Permanent exhibition of Bitola area, memorial room of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and administrative offices.
  • Icon Gallery Ohrid

    The object of the Icon Gallery-Ohrid is located in the ambiental unity of the church complex "St. Clement" (Holy Virgin Peribleptos), opposite the main entrance of the church. The gallery presents the most valuable examples of the Ohrid icon collection.
  • House of Robev Family (City Museum of Ohrid)

    The Robev family house in Ohrid is one of the most famous architectural monuments in Macedonia. It was built in its current state in 1863 - 1864 by Todor Petkov from the village of Gari near Debar. Today the house is a protected monument of culture. The house consists of 3 floors. In the low part of the house are placed the epigraphical monuments from Ohrid, the county, the worth objects "the Milokas" (found on the road Via Egnatia), the two torsos of the goddess Isis etc. The archaeological objects from the ancient times and the medieval period are placed on the second and the third floor. In the upper part of the house are presented parts of objects made by the Ohrid carving school, works from famous artists from Ohrid and Macedonia. In the eastern part of the house there is an exhibition of the belongings of the Robev family.
  • Museum on Water

    In prehistoric times Lake Ohrid was home to a settlement of pile dwellers who lived literally on top of the water, on a platform supported by up to 10,000 wooden piles anchored to the lake bed. The remains of the settlement were discovered at this spot and were gradually excavated by an underwater team between 1997 and 2005; the museum is an elaborate reconstruction of the settlement as archaeologists think it would have looked between 1200 and 600 BC.
